Central Catholic is a coeducational
college preparatory high school with an enrollment of approximately
1300 students. Our school embraces students with differing degrees
of academic readiness from diverse ethnic, linguistic, religious,
and socioeconomic backgrounds. The diversity of our student body
is among our most cherished qualities and a chief source of our
school's greatness.
The focal points of a Central Catholic High School education are:
-
Religious Formation - Four years of religious education
are complemented by regular opportunities for worship, prayer,
retreats, and participation in service projects which allow
students to translate their faith into a living gospel.
-
College Preparatory Curriculum - A tradition of academic
excellence resulting in a 99% college enrollment rate.
-
Fine and Performing Arts - Instruction in the visual
arts, choral music and theater are offered in addition to performance
opportunities. These include concerts and two dramatic productions
each year.
-
Extracurricular Activities - Through a variety of clubs,
student organizations, and activities, students develop talents,
contribute to school life, and foster a spirit of community.
-
Interscholastic Athletics - An array of freshman, junior
varsity and varsity teams participate in the Merrimack Valley
Conference, Division I or Division II.
